Fundraisers

The PGA has 3 main fundraisers: Community service, Raffle tickets, and Paperfest.  Please scroll down and read about each of our fundraisers.

Community Service Fundraiser

How the fundraiser works:

Each player is asked to provide us with names and addresses of ten potential sponsors.  The PGA will then send the sponsor a pledge sheet with a self addressed, stamped envelope so the sponsor can easily return their donation or sponsorship.  Each player is scheduled for three hours of community service.  After the community service project is completed and the donation or sponsorship is received a thank you letter will be sent back to the sponsor.

As you may know the PGA is run 100% on the volunteer efforts of those involved in the program. All money raised by the PGA goes directly back into the program. This is not only a great fundraiser for the PGA but a great lesson for the kids on community service and giving back to your community.

Raffle Ticket Sales

All players will be required to sell three $20 raffle tickets. We ask that the parents pick up and pay for the raffle tickets when they register their player. The player then sells the raffle tickets ($20/ticket) and keeps the money. This eliminates the player bringing money to practice and carrying the raffle tickets home from practice.  Thank you for your cooperation. Please make checks payable to the Papermaker Gridiron Association (P.G.A.).

Paperfest

The PGA provides workers for Paperfest also!  Area civic groups and clubs provide workers for the Paperfest weekend and in return receive a donation back from the Paperfest Committee.  In 2007 the PGA made $4,332 for hours worked at Paperfest.  These hours included a variety jobs: food tent, beer tent, kids games, security, ticket sales, ect.   If you would enjoy giving up a few hours of your time to work at this wonderful event and make some money for the PGA please contact Scott Revoir.  You may also do this through our email pgabulldogs@yahoo.com
